Hotel les Barmes de l'Ours is one of Val d'Isere's finest accommodations. Superbly situated for the ski area it is located at the foot of the famous La Face piste.
Modern facilities combine with traditional ambience to create a relaxing and enjoyable experience. They offer 49 double rooms and 27 suites - including 11 family suites -, divided into four floors with four different styles of accommodation: Scandinavian with light wood and whitewashed walls, lodges of the American great white north with dark wood and fur, Alpine chalet with honey tones and rustic furnishings, and contemporary like mountain lofts.
Their family suites include all commodities for children. There is also a well-stocked games room, as well as consoles and table football, and a kid's club during school holidays.
The hotel also has a ski shop where you can hire your material and buy accessories and clothes.
The hotel also offers a luxurious comfort zone and spa where guests can enjoy the jacuzzi, hammam, indoor swimming pool, or a range of beauty/relaxation treatments and a hair salon.
The lounge bar in the hotel is a cultural haven with book-filled shelves, colourful paintings and unique sculptures. By the bar or in the spacious common room, the warm and intimate atmosphere beckons you in to relax and enjoy a cocktail from their long, creative list, and a snack.
Although Val d'Isere has many fine restaurants, you will be spoilt for choice at the hotel's 3 fine restaurants - La Rôtisserie, Le Coin Savoyard and La Table de l'Ours, Val d'Isere's only Michelin-starred restaurant. If you fancy something lighter you can choose from a mouth-watering selection of homemade cakes and hot or cold drinks in the stylish lounge bar.

At the entrance to Val d’Isère, on the avenue Olympique, our SKI REPUBLIC Val Portillo shop is on your left hand side (coming from Bourg St Maurice or la Daille), 100 m past the ice driving circuit and just past the petrol station.

It’s ideal if you want a practical, budget-friendly base with great access to the Bellevarde ski area. A free bus takes you to the town centre in five minutes or you can enjoy a half-hour walk through the surrounding mountains. The village also has a handful of bars and restaurants.
