A funky brightly coloured hotel in the heart of Val d'Isere
Let the mountains shake up your senses; vivid colours, a relaxed atmosphere, warmth and comfort – this hotel is all about fun and freedom. Situated in the original village of Val d'Isere just a stone's throw from the slopes, this hotel quite literally leaves no room for the greyer shades of life.
This hotel offers 56 spacious and comfortable guest bedrooms in 8 categories over 5 floors. The south facing rooms all have balconies overlooking the ski runs with splendid mountain views and the remaining rooms look out over the comings and goings in the village.
The decor shakes off those predictable alpine clichés, opting for a modern colour scheme cheerfully contrasting bright tangy colours with earthy tones. Bathrooms are resolutely modern; expect polished concrete surfaces, fun fittings and bathtubs for all but the small bedrooms, which are equipped with smart showers instead. Pamper yourself with their carefully selected complimentary toiletries in each bathroom.
The ambience in the hotel is warm and friendly and there is a real feeling of light and spaciousness throughout. With originality and humour as their pervading theme, don’t be surprised to find your feet trampling a grass patterned carpet where life-size cows are grazing!
Hotel facilities include a spa area with sauna, steam room and massage room where you can indulge in various treatments; resident's lounge bar, restaurant (serving breakfast and dinner), meeting room, free Wifi access, covered car park (15€/day) and a concierge servicewho can help you arrange extras such as ski lessons and mountain guides.
The bar is a popular stop-off point in Val d’Isère; after a hard day skiing or riding, the funky interior lures you inside where you can enjoy a great selection of cocktails, beer, wines and spirits.
The restaurant is open to the public as well as hotel residents and serves contemporary French cuisine. You can choose to eat either in the dining room or, more informally, in the lounge bar.
The restaurant is only open during the winter.
