Charming friendly hotel with great service close to resort centre
This charming traditional hotel has been completely rebuilt during summer 2017. The setting will allow you to relax in an atmosphere combining authenticity and modernity. The hotel is situated in the heart of Val d'Isere just 5 minutes walk from the resort centre and 50 metres from the free local bus stop which will take you directly to the slopes. It is also possible to ski back to hotel so there will be no need to catch a bus at the end of the day.
The hotel has mountain style rooms which are all comfortably furnished and all have en-suite facilities (bathtub with integrated shower), flat screen TV and free Wifi access plus a kettle and fridge so you can enjoy a cup of tea in the mornings. They offer 'comfort' rooms and 'comfort +' rooms. The majority of their comfort rooms have a balcony. They also have family rooms for up to 4 people, Junior Suites and Duplex Suites with their own private lounges, and the hotel has a specially fitted room for those with reduced mobility.
Each morning the hotel provides a fantastic buffet breakfast with eggs, ham, cheese, fruit and plenty of other options such as wonderful home-made jams!
After an active day guests can return to the hotel and enjoy a well earned drink on the sunny south facing terrace or in the hotel's cosy bar. Alternatively why not spend some time in the sauna reviving aching muscles.
Guests also have access to the hotel's lounge where there are comfortable sofas, a selection of board games and books and a piano. Two iPads are also available for guests use from the hotel's reception. There is also a Spa area available to guests from 3pm every day. It is equipped with a jacuzzi, a hammam, an indoor sauna facing the Bellevarde. For even more pampering and relaxation, you can book a massage treatment or an appointment at the hair salon.
If you have your own ski equipment, the hotel has its own workshop where you can repair and wax your skis should you need to.
The Avancher Bar offers a selection of spirits, wines and beers as well as soft drinks. From 11am until midnight, you can enjoy the friendly atmosphere at the bar counter or the warmth of the fireplace in the lounge area.
The hotel's Savoyard restaurant Avancher is open every day except Monday for dinner from 19:00. Naturally, after its namesake, the restaurant serves fantastic local specialities such as Raclette and fondues.
Guests can choose to dine a la carte or if they include half board within their package a set menu which varies from day to day is offered.
The restaurant is child friendly and has a children's menu for those under 7 years. They offer specialities such as fondue & raclette adapted to children.

Their ski hire shop is based in the Galerie des Cimes, just opposite the main bus station, and in the centre of Val d'Isère.
No need to carry your ski equipment around with you! Simply pick it up from the ski shop in resort. You can collect your equipment from at least 5pm the day before your 1st skiing day.
Rond Point des Pistes shop is located after the tunnel, next to the Front de Neige with direct access to the Bellevarde and Solaise ski lifts (where the fun starts!). The free buses from the Chatelard and Legettaz areas stop right outside as does the main La Daille – Le Fornet bus.

Val d'Isère centre is an array of lovely shops, restaurants, chalets, hotels and apartments. This bustling village centre is nestled into the valley, complete with classic chalet-style hotels and buildings constructed with stone and wood giving the centre a traditional and warm feel.
Le Joseray, Le Legettaz and Le Chatelard sit just south of Val d’Isère, offering a quieter pace of life with stunning valley views. La Daille sits at the entrance to Val d’Isère and offers mostly high-rise self-catering apartments with a few traditional chalets. It’s ideal if you want a practical, budget-friendly base with great access to the Bellevarde ski area. A free bus takes you to the town centre in five minutes or you can enjoy a half-hour walk through the surrounding mountains. The village also has a handful of bars and restaurants.
