Simply the highest apartment in Europe, this 380m2 Alpine retreat sits at an altitude of 2551m and is only accessible via the ski slopes and the new Solaise Gondola, so when the lifts close you are totally cut off from the rest of the world.
Thanks to its fantastic location, this apartment enjoys both sunrise and sunset, with the sun rising around two hours earlier and setting three hours later compared to the village below. You can take in these breathtaking views from the dining and living room, which spans 120m² and offers a 360-degree panorama.
The spacious living area is furnished with large, comfy sofas, perfect for relaxing in front of the fire while soaking in the views. The dining table comfortably seats up to 18 guests, making it ideal for entertaining. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything you need for a self-catered stay, including a full-size oven, dishwasher, microwave, fridge, freezer, induction stove, and coffee machine.
For entertainment after the sun sets, there’s a projection room, gym, exterior Jacuzzi, and sauna to help unwind and revive your muscles. Plus, there’s WiFi so you can stay connected with the world below.
There’s also a laundry room with a washing machine and tumble dryer for those who like to pack light.
Guests can access a ski locker with boot dryers, ensuring no cold toes in stiff boots first thing in the morning.

Worth knowing
Short stays are also available at the Penthouse, with minimum 2-night stay during the week and 3-night stay over the weekend.
Access to the location between 09:00 and 16:30 by cable car. No possibility to leave the hotel and go down to the village between 17:00 and 09:00. On Sunday and Wednesdays the Solaise gondola should be running between 17:00 and 22:45 to allow guests to visit the village, however the opening on Sundays is still to be confirmed.
The apartment includes access to all the hotel facilities, especially the 25 meters swimming pool, treatment rooms & Spa.
Who should go
Situated at 2551m the Penthouse is the highest apartment in Europe and offers a unique experience for travellers looking for something a little different and special during their stay in Val d'Isere.
They can also offer short stays from 2 or 3 nights, so this is could be a great compliment to a stay in their main hotel, or if you'd rather spend a few nights in the village, followed by a few nights up high in the mountains.
