Charming recently renovated hotel with spa facilities
Le Samovar is a cosy elegant hotel situated in La Daille, very close to the lifts. They offer an attentive, personalised service and access to the slopes could not be easier with both the lifts and the pistes virtually touching the doorstep.
This French run hotel is very popular with foreign visitors as the interior is an attractive mix of traditional features and contemporary alpine furnishings, and the ambience is one of relaxed comfort. The rooms typically have rustic wood walls, faux fur bed covers and modern en-suite bathrooms. All are equipped with flat screen TVs, iPod docks, radio, alarm clock and have WiFi access
There are a range of different categories of rooms available from Classic, Superior and Prestige, as well as a selection of family rooms and suites. The family rooms all have a mezzanine and the suites are duplex so space is not an issue. The hotel is a good choice for group bookings although you need to get in early as there are many returning guests who book well in advance.
As well as hotel rooms, Le Samovar also proposes a number of individual apartments for up to 10 people. These are mainly located in a separate chalet, adjacent to the hotel, but one of them is actually situated within the hotel giving occupants the choice of being entirely independent or benefitting from the hotel facilities as they wish.
After a day on the mountain guests can look forward to unwinding in the new, adult only spa (18+). There is a steam room, sauna, resistance swimming pool as well as two massage rooms.
The spa offers a heated indoor swimming pool with resistance current, hammam, sauna and 2 massage rooms, 1 of which is a double one, perfect for couples massages. It is only open to hotel residents and is adult only (18+).
The chic lounge bar is the perfect place for a winter apres ski drink. The authentic cosy mountain atmosphere is bought to life by the roaring log fire, large brown leather armchairs and cowhide sofas. The bar offers a range of aperitifs, beers, wines and champagnes and is open every day from 16:00. They also propose a takeaway pizza menu available from 18:30 to 21:30 daily (except Tuesday).
The hotel includes a stylish contemporary alpine restaurant with faux fur furnishings and comfortable brown leather seats. It serves traditional gourmet Savoyard cuisine and is open every day between 08:00 - 10:30 for breakfast (included in the price) and between 18:30 - 21:00 for dinner (closed on Tuesdays)

At the entrance to Val d’Isère, on the avenue Olympique, our SKI REPUBLIC Val Portillo shop is on your left hand side (coming from Bourg St Maurice or la Daille), 100 m past the ice driving circuit and just past the petrol station.

La Daille sits at the entrance to Val d’Isère and offers mostly high-rise self-catering apartments with a few traditional chalets. It’s ideal if you want a practical, budget-friendly base with great access to the Bellevarde ski area. A free bus takes you to the town centre in five minutes or you can enjoy a half-hour walk through the surrounding mountains. The village also has a handful of bars and restaurants.
Le Crêt is a small traditional hamlet of Val d'Isère that is surrounded by beautiful mountains and offers excellent views over Val d'Isère itself. Old converted farmhouses that have been restored to an excellent standard make up this small part of the region.
