Adaptive skiing, facilities and accommodation in Val d'Isere
Val d'Isere is a fantastic place to visit for people with disabilities, who can enjoy everything that it has to offer both in the town and mountains.

Val d'Isère caters for disabled skiers and if you wish to have lessons its ski schools have qualified instructors for disabled clients, who can cater to specific needs of each skier and advise on and provide equipment accordingly. They offer a range of equipment including a Piloted Dualski, Taxi Ski and a Dualski to help you enjoy the mountains either with an instructor or independently.
Both children and adults are catered for and the instructors are passionate about giving you the ultimate skiing experience, whatever your disability. You are advised to book at least 15 days in advance and then to confirm one week before arrival, to ensure that the most appropriate equipment is available for your lesson.

The village has a good selection of wheelchair accessible and adapted hotels, some situated right on the snow front and in the centre, and the best thing to do is check with your tour operator or chalet owner about the facilities they provide for disabled visitors. Places which do have disabled facilities include Maeva and Pierre & Vacances Residences, both of which have comfortable apartments that are well furnished and equipped with modern amenities.

Many of the resort's amenities have wheelchair access and at least one disabled toilet.

Disabled skiers with a certificate of at least 80% disability are entitled to 50% off Val d'Isère and Espace Killy public rate ski passes.
