More Rocker Technology

featured in Latest Gear Updated

Having a rockered board is like cheating without the risk of getting caught...and no matter what you've heard, it's not just for the park. Quite simply, rocker makes snowboarding easier for ALL beginner and intermediate snowboarders. It also makes riding powder easier too as the nose stays higher, out of the snow. Pressing and buttering becomes child's play. And forget catching an edge..... In fact, the only riders on regular-cambered boards should be those who like going fast and often freeride on chunky, messed-up snow. In those kind of conditions, rocker is not a pleasant ride and you end up being bounced around a whole lot more so stick to camber.

For Courchevel, we prefer the stiffer rockered boards which combine camber and rocker for maximum effect and edge hold. The noodley rockers like those found on the K2 WWW & the Rome Artifact 1985 are better for rails and really suffer at speed.
