British man dies on Le Face

A British man died whilst skiing on the Face de Bellevarde piste in Val d'Isere.

Ski patrol on the scene performed CPR

Skiing with his brother in law, the 65 year old man from London suffered a heart attack on the Face de Bellevarde piste.
The ski patrol arrived on the scene to give emergency CPR, shortly after a medical team arrived by helicopter but eventually declared the man dead.

At this point the identity of the man has not been made public.

Val d'Isère hosts a wide range of events throughout the year. There are constant ski racing competitions throughout the winter, as well as the much anticipated La Scara youth event each April. In the summer, the resort plays home to some major trail running events such as the High Trail Vanoise in July, with Tour de France stages often passing nearby in July.
