Vertical Kilometre, Face de Bellevarde

Skyrunner World Series Race

Location
Val d’Isere
Imprint
Updated

This short but brutal dash up the Face de Bellevarde is one of the many stages in the ever-growing Skyrunner World Series.

Participants will attempt to run a kilometre up the steep slope of the Face de Bellevarde (scene of the 1992 Olympic downhill), covering a ground distance of 3000m in the process.

This gruelling competition is definitely not for the faint hearted - winners in previous years have completed the event in an amazing 35 minutes!

The race is open to all those who are brave enough - you can register at Val d'Isere Club des Sports.
