Last weekend started with the worst day of the season on Friday. It had snowed 40cm overnight on Thursday, but the snow was so heavy and wet it was like trying to ski in wet concrete.
I took the day off and didn’t even bother, as my client had a sore knee and it was leg-breaking snow. My colleague Thomas had a go and stopped at 10:30 declaring the off-piste un-skiable, while another colleague Chris made it to 13:30, but he was mostly on piste. It was without a doubt the toughest day of the season, and conditions could only improve.
