About Val d'Isère ski pass prices

The Val d'Isère ski season runs 29 November 2025 to 3 May 2026. 

The Tignes season opens one week earlier on 22 November 2025, but has the same closing date.

Early or late season skiing

Ski pass prices are usually cheaper at the beginning and the end of the season, when not all of the lifts may be open. 

If you're considering coming then, it's a good idea to keep an eye on our Val d'Isere snow forecast for an up-to-date view of local conditions.

There are two ski pass areas: Val d'Isère is the smaller area, with Tignes-Val d'Isère the bigger domain.

If you want an access-all-areas pass

The Tignes-Val d'Isère pass will grant you access to 10,000 hectares of terrain, more than 300km of piste and 153 runs between an altitude of 1,550m and 3,456m. There are 75 ski lifts at your disposal as well as two snowparks and two glaciers.

Tignes-Val d'Isère passes are valid for half-day to 15-days or for the whole season. 

The benefits really start kicking in when you stay a bit longer:

• two free entries to the Val d'Isère Oxygene swimming pool on passes six to 11 days
• four free entries to the Val d'Isère Oxygene swimming pool on passes of 12 to 15 days
• on six day passes you'll get: one day's free ski day, preferential rate to ski La Rosière, free entry to the Lounge and free Val d'Isère wifi

If you prefer it quieter

The local area pass enables you to ski on the Solaise, Bellevarde, Le Fornet and la Daille areas on the Val d’Isère side of the valley. You can go as far over as the legendary après-ski hot spot of La Folie Douce but you cannot take the Tommeuses chairlift which links Val d'Isère and Tignes. Instead, you will need to take the Mont Blanc chairlift back up above the Val Snow Park or drop down the pistes to La Daille.

These are our top tips for saving money on your ski pass:

• come early or late in the season
• buy a family pass
• buy group tickets
• book early
• buy multiple days - you’ll get a much better day rate
• choose a local area pass over the Tignes-Val d'Isère pass

The Pim Pam Poum Beginner's pass is available for a one off rate and allows you to ski the beginner areas at 2,000m in complete safety. 

Head to the summit and choose the green or blue slope that suits you best to descend at your own pace. Take the Solaise gondola once and enjoy unlimited access to the beginner slopes along our two Pim Pam and Poum magic carpets

You heard it right, you can ski for free in Val d'Isère... but only if you're under eight years old or over 75. Proof of age required at the moment of purchase. Free season tickets are available for any duration. The season ticket requires an administration fee of 10 euros. 

The Savonnette and Village lifts are free to use, which are ideal for beginners taking their first steps on skis.

The cross-country skiing routes are free to use, and there are plenty of them in the area to keep you entertained. You can hire equipment from most ski rental shops in town.

Whether you want to go snow-shoeing, watch the kids' first ski lesson or join friends at a mountain restaurant, a pedestrian pass lets you go up without skis or a snowboard. 

If you're under 8 or over 75, you still need a pedestrian pass to go up on foot - even a free one

There are 11 lifts that pedestrians can use in winter, namely the Solaise, Olympique and Fornet cable cars, the La Daille and Le Vallon gondolas, the Funival, Cascade, Céma and the Bellevarde chairlifts, as well as the Pim Pam and Poum magic carpets.

Pedestrian rates are available for single and return journeys on these lifts, and there are also one and six-day pedestrian passes on offer, as well as a season pass, should you want to ride the lifts more frequently. Pedestrian tickets can be bought at one of the ski pass offices in resort, via the app or from ticket machines at the resort.

If you're planning to spend more than a couple of weeks in Val d'Isère this winter, you've got a few options to save money on your lift journeys. 

Season pass benefits:

• two days preferential rate at Espace San Bernardo La Rosière
• six free pool entries

Ski à la carte benefits from numerous advantages:

• direct access to the slopes without going to a sales office
• a daily discount of up to 15% on the day pass, up to 40% on Saturdays
• the more you ski, the more you benefit from loyalty days, the ninth, 14th, 19th and 24th day skied only billed at €1
• a discount is granted every day on the nine other ski areas of the ‘ski à la carte’ network

The prices on this page do not include insurance.

You’ll be given the option to add ski insurance when you buy your ski pass. This is provided by Carré Neige and normally costs a few euros a day. 

You don’t have to buy insurance from the lift company, but we can’t stress how important it is to have a snow sports policy in place before you come skiing or snowboarding in Val d'Isère.  

Hopefully you’ll never have an accident. But if you have to be helicoptered off the mountain, or spend any time in hospital in France, you could end up with a huge bill.
