French Firefighters Release Annual Calendar

Pompiers turn up the heat with their latest photo shoot

Put a smile on someone’s face this Christmas and pop Le Calendrier des Pompiers in their stocking - all in a good cause, of course!

The firefighter’s calendar is something of an annual tradition and features the finest French pompiers, so smoking hot that they’re likely to ignite more fires than they put out.

Proceeds from the calendar go to the charity Pompiers Sans Frontières, an organisation that responds to international disasters in an attempt to reduce the impact on vulnerable people around the world. They work on a similar basis to the more well-known Medecins Sans Frontières, travelling to poor or ravaged areas of the world to give aid to those who need it.

Ingrid Meucci, spokesperson at Pompiers Sans Frontières, says that the calendar is “a fantastic opportunity for us to do more for those who need it most. It's great that our firefighters agreed to get naked for a good cause." Indeed it is, bravo les gars!

The calendar was shot by French photographer Fred Goudon, who is responsible for the equally delightful Dieux du Stade calendar featuring the Stade Français rugby team - if he’s ever looking for an intern…

Le Calendrier des Pompiers costs just 19.95€ and can be ordered online here while stocks last - they’re selling fast though, so be quick if you want one in time for the New Year!
