Tsanteleina hotel receptionist dies in car crash

A fatal car crash on Tuesday happened when a 4x4 lost control and veered off the RD 902 road, which borders the Chevril lake, just before the Villaret-du-Nial tunnel. The gendarmerie found the lifeless body of François Camessan, known in Val d'Isere as the head receptionist at the Tsanteleina hotel.

The victim was well known in resort, having been the head receptionist at the 4 star Tsanteleina hotel in Val d'Isere. He resided in Sainte-Foy-Tarentaise and was on his way to Val d'Isere when he lost control of his Suzuki 4x4.
The car and body were found by a runner at around 17:00 on Tuesday, the car was found 90 metres below the road and the body some 30 metres below the road.
