Magna Traction (Serrated Edges)

Imprint
Updated

TRANSLATION:
Typical edges slice through snow like a smooth, sharp knife through cheese. Serrated edges rip through snow like a steak knife through beef. The most pronounced pointy bits of the edge are in the centre of the board.

WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOU:
Better edge hold.

WHAT PRODUCTS:
The vast majority of Lib Tech, GNU and Roxy snowboards employ 'Magne-Traction' serration. Look out for the suffix 'MTX' or 'BTX' (also with Banana) on the product. Meanwhile, Burton's Pressure Distribution Edges, which extend outward half a millimetre at the centre of the board, have been doubled in size to become more noticeable - look out for new PDE on the Hero.
