La Folie Douce - Le Butcher , Val d'Isere

Perfect for a quick bite on the slopes, Le Butcher serves up gourmet-style burgers, sandwiches and sweet treats with speed and flavour. Enjoy your meal on the sunny terrace or take it away if you’re in a rush. Stick around after lunch and you might find yourself caught up in La Folie Douce legendary après-ski party.

Located at the top of the La Daille bubble, Le Butcher is a great choice for those who want to eat on the go! You can either order the food to takeaway or eat it on their outdoor terrace. The menu includes burgers, sandwiches, fresh juices and waffles.

Le Butcher is open every day from 11:30 to 16:30.

It's not the only place to eat at La Folie Douce. Just behind Le Butcher is the gourmet-quality, canteen-style restaurant La Petite Cuisine. La Fruitière, just next door to both, serves contemporary cuisine made by Chef Franck Mischler. For a mid-afternoon break, try Les Trois Caves, their very own wine bar serving delicious local cheeses and cigars.

After lunch, enjoy La Folie Douce's famous party. Every day from 13:00, the best performers, dancers, musicians and DJs gather on the terrace of this clubbing hotspot for a cabaret show and, from 15:00, La Folie Douce turns into a club for the ultimate après-ski experience.

Restaurant serving an international menu that includes pizzas and burgers, including a veggie burger if a meaty feast is not what you're after. Le Garage is open every day from lunch until late, be sure to enjoy the craft beers on offer and the extensive wine list. 

On the menu you'll find a large variety of international dishes - Italian, Savoyard, American and Mexican - simple comfort food made with local quality produce. Take your pick from sharing boards and tapas/snacks, beef and vegetarian burgers, filling salads, homemade pizzas, and homemade desserts such as the celebrated chocolate fondant.

At the bar, there's a nice selection of local craft beers such as Mont Blanc Brasserie, Sapaudia and many more, a good wine list and a selection of cocktails to enjoy until late.

The friendly team ('the gang') are there to welcome you, each with their own personal touches and skill.

Open every day 11:00 to 01:00 for you to stop in whenever the mood (or the food) takes you.

There is a fun, young and relaxed atmosphere in this café serving American diner style food such as burgers, wraps, milkshakes, salads and coma-inducing chocolate and ice cream desserts. A great spot for a quick bite to eat whilst having a shopping day or on a bad weather day.

Have a pit stop for lunch, enjoy a coffee or milkshake, fill up before après-ski and soak up the friendly and fun atmosphere.

Open seven days a week for brunch, lunch and dinner, from 09:00 to 22:00 (non-stop service).

Famous for its cocktails and happy hours, they also serve up a varied international menu, including the delicious and the well worth it Victor's Burger. Victor's is well liked by locals, ski instructors and tourists alike, there is something to suit everyone here, but be sure to try the burger.

The bar opens at 16:00 and you can enjoy an ice cold beer outside on the terrace in the sun or why not a steamy hot vin chaud inside while the snow is falling.

The restaurant offers a varied menu of international cuisine ranging from the classic American Victors Burger to Asian fusion dishes. French, Italian and American - there is something to suit every taste and every appetite. they serve both a three-course half board dinner and à la carte menu.

As the sun sets over Val d’Isère and day turns into night the bar gets more and more busy and the excellent bar keepers will turn up the heat and mix your favourite tasty cocktails before you head upstairs to the Victor’s Hotel or continue out to explore the Val d’Isère’s night clubs.

Situated on La Face in the Bellevarde sector at the heart of the ski area, La Peau de Vache serves traditional mountain food to keep you going all day long, including delicious burgers. It can be a little pricey, but is considered well worth it and the views of the valley are fantastic.

Hearty portions of traditional mountain food will keep you refuelled all afternoon. Burgers, omelettes, salads, steak, pasta, cheese boards and desserts are all on the menu.

Open daily for lunch, snacks and drinks from 09:00 to 17:00, with late opening on a Tuesday until 23:00.

Val d'Isère hosts a wide range of events throughout the year. There are constant ski racing competitions throughout the winter, as well as the much anticipated La Scara youth event each April. In the summer, the resort plays home to some major trail running events such as the High Trail Vanoise in July, with Tour de France stages often passing nearby in July.
