Organisers of the Alpine Ski World Cup have today announced that the races set to take place in Val d'Isere on 13th & 14th December have been cancelled due to lack of snow.

Cold weather over the next few days means that the snow canons can finally start to operate, but snow canons alone cannot produce good enough conditions for the races to take place.

Races set to take place in Courchevel are also under threat of being cancelled although an announcement has yet to be made.
