The highest paved mountain pass in Europe, the Col d'Iseran re-opens this Friday from 17:00.
The pass reaches an altitude of 2770m, making it a favourite with bike tourers, cyclists and motorcyclists, linking Val d'Isere with Bonneval sur Arc and beyond.
It forms part of the Route des Grandes Alpes, linking Geneva with the Mediterranean and as such, is hugely popular with summer holidaymakers.
There are a few sections on the col where you'll still be driving through snow banks at the moment, but the road has been deemed safe to drive and re-opens on Friday 9th June 2017, a week earlier than previously anticipated.
