Val d'Isere Snow Report: 7th February 2014

A Perfect Day in Tignes & Val d'Isere Followed by More Snow

featured in Snow report Author James Fisher, Val d'Isere Video Reporter Updated

Thanks to Roddy from Pro Snowboarding in Val d'Isere for these pictures of the conditions on Thursday.

Thursday was the day the clouds lifted and the sun shone down. With fifteen centimetres of fresh snow on already excellent pistes and clear blue skies overhead it was a great day in both Tignes and Val d'Isere.

The afternoon became much warmer and later on the clouds began to regroup over the town. This morning the clouds were back and so was the snow but with the freezing level at about 1600m there may be some rain in the lowest parts of the Espace Killy. Val d'Isere will be fine as will most of Tignes but Les Brevieres may see some water before the snow falls.

The next few days look like they are going to be cloudy with show showers the heaviest this morning and on Monday. The sun might not come out for a few days but when it does come back we'll be enjoying more superb conditions like we had yesterday.

Winter might have started slowly, but she's picking up speed.
