First Tracks opening weekend goes ahead. Retour d'est ensures opening weekend
Confirmation has been made that the Frist Tracks opening weekend will be going ahead as planned, and contrary to speculation a fair number of pistes will be open.
The Pisaillas glacier will be open and pistes will be skiable down to the Signal on the Vallon de l'Iseran, whatsmore the top of the Solaise will be open too. In total 10 or so pistes will be open with 900 metres of vertical - not bad for the first weekend of the season!
The retour d'est brought a fair amount of snow a few weeks back and since then the cold temperatures have permitted the snow canons to churn out some extra snow.
