Val d'Isere Snow Report: 20th January 2014
Grey down low, blue up high
Today's report comes from Andreas at Alpine Experience and Roddy at Pro Snowboarding. We needed two sources today as conditions were VERY different depending on where you spent the day.
Down at 1800m on the Village pistes the beginners enjoyed great snow but with fairly grey skies. "Dreich" was the word used to describe conditions but higher up it was a different story.
" It was grey and horrible in town but we headed up to the Fornet and came above a beautiful sea of cloud at around 2400m so we stayed above that and had a fantastic morning on the Pissailla glacier!!!"
