Val d'Isere offers accommodation for every budget, from privately rented chalets and apartments to hotels and catered chalets. Booking direct or through French property agencies can often save money, while hotels may offer flexible stay lengths. However, package holidays from tour operators can be excellent value, often including flights, transfers, accommodation, lift passes and ski hire. For budget-conscious travellers, late deals and some holiday packages can include accommodation, meals, equipment, lift pass and instruction, which are well worth considering.

For the best availability with the ski schools aim to ski in mid-January or mid-March, snow conditions are often excellent, and resorts are quieter.
