This week's Locals interview is with Danny Snow, the man with the most appropriate surname to work in a ski resort (sorry Danny I'm sure you've heard that hundreds of times already?!!)

How long have you been manager and how long have you been working with Alpine Elements?

I've been in Val working as the manager of Le Fjord for 2 months now and have been working for Alpine Elements for 4 seasons now.

What makes Val d'Isere a special place to be for you?

It's one of the top places in the world to ski and snowboard, with some of the best off-piste and a lively party atmosphere.

What are the best bits about your job?

The amazing people I get to work with (you know who you are).

And the worst bits?

Transfer Day!

What are your personal and professional goals for the future?

Personal Goals - To do the legendary La Face slope without falling over.

Professional Goals - To carry on progressing though the company.

What's your favourite piste or off-piste area & top tip to go skiing?

Fornet is the best for off-piste and Orange for a quick cruisy red. [Val d'Isere piste map]

Where would send someone who was after that something 'something special' in resort, to stay, eat or drink?

The Folie Douce, a party on the slopes! Or Le Petit Danois for some epic nachos!

Your favourite place for lunch or dinner?

St Hubert Auberge for some brilliant traditonal French Cuisine.

What's the best thing about Val d'Isere?

The nightife.

And the worst?

The wind.

Your favourite thing to do in resort when not skiing?

Pretending I've skied all day and joining in on the après.

Which is your favourite shop in resort?

Orage - Good seasonnaire discounts.

..

You can book to stay at Chalet Fjord this winter, or bowse the Alpine Elements website for summer holidays in Val d'Isere.
