Day two of X-Games Europe in Tignes dawned with clear skies and beautiful sunshine. Everything was set for a great day.

The Men's snowboard slopestyle qualifiers were first up and high hopes were held for Brit Jamie Nicholls. Unfortunately Jamie fell on his first run and although his second run was smooth and without fault he didn't have any inverts and in a competition where double corks are common place Jamie's spins were not enough to put him into the top 8 and he was eliminated.

The Men's ski slopestyle took place next under perfect conditions but sadly without Brit skier James Woods. The podium was eventually filled with Mcrae Williams from Utah, Jossi Wells and Gus Kenworthy.

As the day progressed the women skiers took to the slopestyle course and it was Kaya Turski who took the gold, her fourth at X-Games, ahead of Norway's Tiril Christiansen and Dara Howell of Canada. The big excitement for the Brits though was Katy Summerhayes who finished in an amazing fourth place with a score of 79.00.

By the time the sun began to set expectations were high for one of the most popular events of X-Games Tignes, the Men's Snowboard Superpipe. Without Shaun White the competition was open for I-Pod, Louie Vito and Japanese wunderkind Taku Hiraoka to take places on the podium. It was Louie Vito who took gold with huge back to back doubles with Frenchman Arthur Longo in second place and Hiraoka in third.

Huge congratulations to Katy and fingers crossed for Aimee Fuller in the Women's Snowboard Slopestyle on the final day.
