Skier Caught in an Avalanche Yesterday in Val d'Isere
Skier suffers slight injuries after being dug out
Yesterday afternoon a skier was caught in an avalanche, whilst skiing off piste with guides.
The avalanche was accidentally triggered by the party who were at the Nord des Lorès at 2900m.
A 49 year old skier was buried by the slide but quickly found and dug out by the other members of the party, and suffered slight shoulder injuries.
The current avalanche risk in the Haute Tarentaise is 1-2.
