GEM Altigliss Challenge, Val d'Isère
Biggest student ski and snowboard competition in Europe
The week-long competition is organised by Altigliss – Grenoble's Ecole de Management student club – and over 1,000 students are expected to attend from around 30 countries and 45 schools and universities.
Students compete in a range of challenges over the course of the week: Ski, Mountain and Village. The Altigliss Ski Challenge constitutes five events: GS, BoarderCross, Big Air, a Special Slalom and Parallel Team Slalom.
The Mountain Challenge is a fun and interactive way to explore Val d'Isère where teams will take part in a combination of sports and adventure events such as orienteering, running and a treasure hunt. The Village Challenge basically involves being as mad as you can be with prizes for the best parties, outfits and crazy events and great entertainment, DJs and fireworks display.
If you're looking for a quiet holiday, it may be best to give this week a miss but if partying is your thing, then it's sure to be one of the highlights of the season in Val d'Isère.
