The three main areas of Val d'Isere - Fornet, Solaise and Bellevarde - are open during the summer months. The Fornet Glacier is open in the mornings throughout the summer for skiers and snowboarders and the Bellevarde and Solaise areas are open to hikers and mountain bikers.

There are three main types of Val d'Isere summer lift passes:

    • Summer Skiing / Glacier pass - Gives you access to the Pissaillas glacier or the Bellevarde sector (in early June) for skiing
    • Pedestrian pass - This is free and gives you access to the Olympique lift
    • Mountain Bike pass - This is free and gives you access to all the trails

    Summer ski-passes

Summer skiing in Val d'Isere is held on the Glacier du Pissaillas in the Fornet sector at the top of the valley. This year, due to the unprecedented amount of snow we have had, the Bellevarde sector will be open for summer skiing until the Col de l'Iseran opens. Lift passes can only be bought at the lift station at the bottom of the glacier or the Funival lift for the Bellevarde sector.
