Val d'Isere Snow Report:12th March 2014

Great Snow Even After a Week of Sunshine

featured in Snow report Author James Fisher, Val d'Isere Video Reporter Updated

The pistes are excellent in Val d'Isere and the snow is holding up well under the early spring sunshine.

The sun has been shining bright and clear for almost a week here in the Espace Killy but even after all the warm Spring weather the snow is still in wintery condition. Firm and fast but with enough give for good carving. On the lowest and sunniest slopes there is some slushy snow but this is not the norm across the two resorts. Especially on the higher slopes like Grand Pre in Val d'Isere and Grattalu in Tignes the snow is particularly good.

With the sun shining the Apres Ski scene is in full swing and the Folie Deuce was jumping yesterday afternoon and there are plenty more parties ahead with more sunshine over the weekend.
