British skier dies in off-piste Val d'Isere accident

A 59 year old British skier sadly died in an off piste accident in Val d'Isere yesterday.

The accident happened late in the day yesterday off the Laisinant Chairlift between Solaise and Fornet. The man was skiing off-piste, when he suffered a heavy fall, resulting in multiple injuries.

He was airlifted from the scene of the accident but sadly died of a heart attack in the helicopter on the way to the hospital in Grenoble.

Our thoughts are with his family and friends.
