Evolution 2 has been instructing and guiding skiers around the Alps since 1987. If you want to experience what Tignes & Val d’Isere really has to offer, join the Evolution 2 Team on one of their expeditions.
As well as offering off-piste private and group outings to help you improve and perfect your technique away from the groomed pistes, Evolution 2 also offers several ski-tours where they will take you away from the beaten track and into the wilderness of the mountains around Val d'Isere.
All of their off-piste sessions, whether in a group or individually, come with free use of all necessary avalanche safety equipment. You will be briefed on how to use this equipment and trained in the proper procedure to follow in the event you’re caught in an avalanche.
Evolution 2 have two standard off-piste tours that you can join:
Toviere – Chevril (a reverse heliski experience)
- Suitable for both skiers and snowboarders
- Experience of different types of off-piste snow required
- The instructor may adapt the route to take advantage of the best snow conditions
- We provide you with ABS back-pack, transceiver, shovel and probe
- Maximum six people per guide
Tarentaise Tour
- Suitable for experienced off-piste skiers
- Not suitable for snowboards, because of a long flat traverse
- 6 kilometres of vertical descent
- We provide you with ABS back-pack, transceiver, shovel and probe
- Maximum six people per guide
Who should go...
You need to be confident on all types of snow, terrain and conditions. Previous off-piste experience is required.
Who should go
You should have a good level of skiing to join this as you must be able to complete a red run with assistance.
Where to meet
For any ski or snowboard group and private lessons the meeting point is outside of the Saloon Bar (Val Village - just up from the STVI ticket pass office - yellow star on the map). Off piste lessons, including groups, private and tours should meet outside the Evolution 2 office (Snowberry Shop, Rond Point des Pistes - purple star on the map).
