Val d'Isere are hosting the only French leg of the Skyrunning World Series 2014, with the Ice Trail race this coming Sunday 13th July.

Trail runners from around the world will converge to battle it out on the mountains.

500 runners will be on the start line for the Ice Trail, which as its name suggests takes in a lot of snow and ice on the route.

The race sets off at 4am, but if you don't want to get up that early, then take a look at the expected arrival times and go & watch the runners either part way round, or at the finish line from around 11:45.

Also on the events calendar is the Vertical kilometre on the Bellevarde face on the 11th July, which is also part of the Skyrunning World Series.
