Visitor comments

  • "Can't say enough here. From the warm welcome to the quirky layout of the bar / restaurant area ( you will get a little confused ) our stay was fantastic. Nothing was to much trouble for the staff. Mark the manager couldn't have been better , particularly after my partner broke her leg on day three, dohh . His help and support though a very stressful few days was invaluable. On a more cheerful note , the room (14) was spacious and comfortable with a beautiful view from the balcony. The food was excellent with choices for both breakfast and dinner . The minibus service to the piste and back was good but it was only a short walk to the bus stop if needed. All in all I couldn't recommend the Gellinotte enough." - Trip Advisor
  • "Very friendly and approachable staff always willing to go the extra mile. Mark, Luke and Katie were especially helpful. Our room 1C was great, a clean well-presented triple. Food and service was fantastic. A real treat after an active day. Small little touches were great, log fire, candles on tables. Extremely cute. .. room turn down always put our boys teddies on pillow." - Trip Advisor
  • "Lovely friendly staff made this holiday special, always willing to chat and help even when they were off duty. The food was also first class, and afternoon tea always welcome after a day on the slopes. The property itself was warm, inviting and stylish, with a bar and various lounging areas, all designed for comfort, ambiance and relaxation. Normally I book a property which is ski to the door, but the shuttle mini-bus provided by the hotel was just as good to be honest, from right outside the door to right next to the main Val D'Isere ski area and probably took less than 5 minutes. Plus the free municipal shuttle bus stop - which ran every 5 mins to/from all ski areas was not too far away." - Trip Advisor
  • "We were really impressed with this hotel and thought it offered excellent value for money. The airport transfer was clear and straightforward and I think the staff made every effort to make all their guests feel really welcome. Mark the Manager was extremely helpful and amongst other things ran a great shuttle service. The hotel staff provided a friendly service and their hospitality helped create a relaxed atmosphere." - Trip Advisor
  • "Family ski holiday staying at Gelinotte in Val D'Isere Jan 2016. Although slightly quirky, the hotel was extremely clean, comfortable beds, with plenty of hot water! Superb views from our bedrooms. The staff were all extremely helpful & friendly. Katie & Kate looked after our table at mealtimes & although there was a separate Kids Menu, the odd request for a slight variation ( as kids do) was accommodated happily & without fuss. The inclusive wine was pleasant & the food was always good & also plentiful. Being fairly close to the kitchen ( room no.1) we had wondered if it would be noisy in the mornings, but not in the least. The shuttle service provided to/from the slopes was excellent. The boot room was spacious with the added bonus of plenty of boot warmers. The hotel Manager, Mark, was the most dedicated, hard working person that I have encountered in all my years of skiing. Consummate professional, always on the ball & absolutely nothing was too much trouble. You really felt that that he wanted he & his team to "make your holiday" & they lived up to the challenge. A few hours before we were due to leave, we had a medical emergency requiring my husband to be taken to hospital. Mark voluntarily stayed up all night, looking after us & sorting things out. I could not have got through it without him. We have no fault whatsoever with any aspect of our holiday & would wholeheartedly recommend Alpine Elements, The Gelinotte, Mark & his staff - we had a great time, Thank you." - Trip Advisor
